Injectable Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume by adding new collagen. As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow’s feet become more apparent. The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to this loss of facial volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, heredity and lifestyle.

Botox® Cosmetic injections

Botulinum toxin, is a natural, purified protein that is used to temporarily relax facial muscles that cause lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to treat medical conditions such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Botox is the original trade mark and best-known brand name and the most tested product on the market. It is the result of many decades of studies and has been used extensively in medicine. It is the safest product, and it is certified in the medical and cosmetic field

Frequently Asked Questions

Dermal Fillers

How long do the results last?

Most wrinkle reduction clients who receive fillers see visible wrinkle reduction for six months to a year following their initial treatment.

Are there any side-effects associated with Dermal Filler treatment?

Because Dermal Filler treatment results are temporary, there are very few side effects associated with the treatment. Some clients report temporary redness and minimal swelling or bruising at the injection site that subsides within a couple of days. With any injection there is always the risk of infection or intravascular complications, this would need to be reported as soon as possible and would require an immediate medical consultation or referral to a specialist.

Are Dermal Filler injections painful?

Dermal Fillers are unique in that they feature the local anesthetic lidocaine as one of the ingredients. The mixture minimizes any pain associated with the procedure. Local or topical anesthetics are available for the client comfort.

BOTOX ®

How many treatments will I need to see results?

Most clients will feel and see visible muscle relaxation within the first few days of their initial treatment. If you have extensive, deep muscle contractions you may require increased amounts for optimal results. Because the body eventually absorbs the injected material, repeat treatments are necessary every few months to maintain muscle relaxation.

Are Botox treatments painful?

Discomfort is minimal and brief with injections. Once the injections are complete, there is usually no discomfort.

Will my lines look worse if I choose not to continue with treatments?

No. Your lines gradually revert to their pre-treatment appearance if you decide to forego additional treatment.
